Aqua Maine, Inc. is a public water utility that currently owns or manages 15 water
systems engaged in the collection, treatment, and distribution of potable water for homes, businesses and fire protection service, and serves 16,000 customers (approximately 50,000 residents) throughout the state of Maine.
Aqua Maine is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Aqua America (NYSE:WTR), based in Bryn
Mawr, Pa., which serves approximately 2.5 million residents in a dozen states.
Company History
The divisions listed below were merged under the consolidated entity now known as Aqua Maine on July 1, 1994, but have been part of the Aqua America family of companies since the dates indicated:
